Dr. Hunter's spiritual practice is rooted in Yorùbá cosmology and increasingly guided by the philosophical and spiritual teachings of Ifá. Yorùbá cosmology recognizes the interconnected relationship among Olódùmarè, Orí, Òrìṣà, ancestors, spiritual community, human character, destiny, and the responsibility of the individual to live in alignment with purpose.

Her spiritual development has unfolded across multiple religious and contemplative traditions. Raised within Christianity, she later spent approximately eight years studying and practicing within Islam and explored Buddhist and other contemplative philosophical traditions before entering a deeper period of spiritual inquiry and ultimately returning toward African-centered cosmology.

Her current spiritual formation is grounded in Yorùbá cosmology and continued study within the Ifá tradition.

Her professional foundation includes extensive experience as a clinician, educator, and certified case-management professional, creating an interdisciplinary approach that considers the individual within the broader context of mind, body, spirit, family, environment, culture, and lineage. From 2014 to 2018, Dr. Hunter also served as a hospice and palliative care nurse, accompanying individuals and families through some of life's most vulnerable and intimate moments. She has held the hands of terminally ill and actively dying patients, providing compassionate presence and care as they made what she regards as a sacred transition from this life. This period of service remains among the most rewarding and heartwarming experiences of her professional career and deepened her understanding of dignity, presence, family, mortality, and the profound human experience of transition.

‍Dr. Hunter's approach is rooted in remembrance, restoration, education, and service. Through Ifá divination, she has been taught that helping and creating are central themes within her path; principles that have also characterized her professional and personal work throughout her life.

Her work through Meta Sanctuary™ is therefore not centered on directing individuals toward a single spiritual path. Instead, she seeks to provide a trustworthy platform through which people, particularly members of the African diaspora, can learn, question, remember, explore, and connect with knowledgeable practitioners representing distinct African cosmological traditions.

The aim is not to tell individuals what they must believe, but to create access to knowledge and trusted guidance so they can discern which path, if any, resonates with their own spiritual development.

Awosope is a Babaláwo from Oyan, Ọ̀ṣun State, Nigeria, where he was born and raised. He comes from an Ifá lineage, and his father serves as the High Priest of Ifá in Oyan town (Olúwo).

The Ifá tradition is an ancient Yorùbá system of wisdom, divination, and spiritual guidance that helps people understand their path, character, and relationship with the Divine. It preserves profound teachings through the Odù Ifá, verses, proverbs, rituals, and knowledge passed down through generations. Through Ifá divination, ẹbọ, àlàdìmú, and other traditional practices, Ifá provides spiritual guidance and approaches to resolving challenges encountered in life.

Awosope has lived within the Ifá tradition since childhood and continues in that tradition today. Born and raised within an Ifá lineage, he describes Ifá as integral to his daily life—he eats, drinks, lives, and approaches life through the wisdom and practice of Ifá.

His spiritual services include Ifá divination, Ifá consecration, Ifá initiation, Òrìṣà initiation and consecration, and the sharing and teaching of traditional spiritual knowledge.

Pastor Makayilu Manzambi serves under Bishop Antonio Vemba of the Tokoist Assembly of USA in Washington, D.C. The Tokoist Assembly is headquartered in Luanda, Angola, and was founded by Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco. The worldwide Head Bishop of the Tokoist Assembly is Bishop Afonso Nunes.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Pastor Manzambi began his spiritual journey in the Baptist Church as a youth. In 1995, he became a minister under the leadership of Bishop David Nelson of Greater Bethlehem Apostolic Temple Church in Baltimore. In 2000, he continued his development under Bishop Jerome Stokes, founder of Church of the Redeemed of the Lord, who prepared him for pastoral ministry. He was ordained as an Elder in 2004 and later founded The House of Faith Deliverance Church in Carroll County, Maryland, in 2006.

His spiritual journey eventually led him into an extended period of study, prayer, and reexamination of his religious understanding. For approximately six years, he stepped away from teaching and preaching to focus on relearning, researching ancestral history, studying scripture, and exploring the relationship between African people, language, spirituality, and the traditions inherited through the African diaspora.

This search ultimately led Pastor Manzambi toward Africa and the traditions of his ancestral homeland. He describes this period as a return to the "old path," grounded in his understanding of Jeremiah 6:16 and a desire to reconnect with the spiritual and cultural foundations disrupted through the transatlantic slave trade.

After years of study, Pastor Manzambi traveled to Angola on pilgrimage on July 18, 2024. There, after sitting under the teaching of African elders, he was ordained and consecrated as a Pastor within the Tokoist Ministry. Although he had previously served as a pastor in the United States, he describes being ordained in his ancestral homeland as particularly meaningful to his spiritual journey.

Pastor Manzambi's work centers on helping people of the African diaspora explore identity, ancestral history, spiritual heritage, and their relationship with the Creator. His teaching emphasizes returning to ancestral knowledge, understanding the historical experiences that shaped African-descended people, and encouraging individuals to investigate their spiritual and cultural origins for themselves.
